Central
Central Elementary School third graders in Ms. Sara Earl's art class are having fun creating their very own plaster masks.
The students started with a paper bowl, turned it upside down and made different features with aluminum foil and tape.
When they were done with this step, it was time to layer sheets of plaster on them.
They took one sheet at a time, dipped it in water, strained it and then laid it down on an area of their mask.
As they continued layering the plaster to make their masks stronger, they made sure to smooth out all of the holes.
Next week the students are looking forward to deciding what colors to paint their masks and what details to add to make them unique.
