Creating Young Rembrandts at Central
Central
Students in the afterschool Young Rembrandts art program at Central Elementary School worked on creating a "candy landscape" this week.
The instructor had the students start with drawing guides, or sections, on their paper.
The students followed along as the instructor drew basic shapes within the different sections of the guides.
Once they had the basic drawing of their landscape, they erased their guides and added designs to their shapes to make the objects within their candy landscape.
Once the drawing was complete, it was time to add color.
The students used colored pencils to make their piece unique.
The students had a great time creating their landscapes and comparing their drawings to their classmates.
